Superior in all respects |
It is probably the finest up converting DVD player there is. This was a replacement for an H/K DVD 47 that just wasn't living up to my (admittedly) high standards, and bricked when I tried to update the firmware (see my review of the DVD 47 to see how well H/K handled the exchange. A+). The difference between this and the DVD 47 was night and day. The DCDi by Faroudja is not just marketing hype; it makes it so it is not easy to tell the difference between this and an HD DVD if you use the 1080p upconversion on a 1080p TV.
As good as the video is, it's the audio capabilities that set this apart. This player will most definitely satisfy even the most discriminating audio enthusiast. It is a true audiophile machine with the capability to play almost all audio formats extremely well.
This is, without a doubt, the best DVD player I have ever owned. I you are considering any DVD player that is not a Blu-ray player this should be at the top of your list. And this will play some audio formats that most Blu-ray players won't even play.

Product is excellent, Highly recommend this DVD player. When using the upconvert option to HD quality the picture is incredible. Easy to setup, remote control is clear and easy to use. It has been setup and working for over a month, and not one complaint or negative. |
