DVPFX930 DOA |
The Sony FX930 Portable DVD Player (refurbished) that I purchased through 2009hdtv arrived essentially DOA. After charging the battery I played a DVD. After 15 minutes the screen went black although audio continued. Further attempts with battery recharging and other DVDs did not yield a visible screen.
I sent the player to Sony in Texas at my expense for repair/replacement. At best I am out the additional shipping costs because of dishonest advertising on 2009hdtv.

I am writing this review from the perspective of a parent. Although my husband and I have used it for ourselves, the primary purpose of this purchase was for our two sons. This DVD player is fantastic. We have had NO issues with it whatsoever. It has a locking mechanism so the kids can't sit there and start changing the volume and stopping/starting, etc. It is also incredibly sturdy and has withheld almost any sort of child tantrum. It has been dropped on pavement, thrown across a room, just about anything. The battery bottom pops out and you just pop it back in and it works perfectly fine. I give it two thumbs up. My only wish is that there was some lock for the open/shut button. I don't know if any DVD players that have this feature though. |

It's a real good product. Plays long. Color adjustings great. Love the little remote it came with. Has all the wires. No hdmi though. Volume is good. Is kinda a hustle to turn around and lay flat sometimes. Overall I would buy this. It's cool in the car too. |

I order this DVD player after my other broke down.
It has been amazing. Long lasting battery, great picture and very easy to ues.
I got an upgrade - to FX 950 because the 930 was sold out for the same price. |

We LOVE our Sony DVD Player. My daugther(who is 1 1/2 yrs old) is well entertained in the car. We recently went on a 9 hour car ride and she never complained not even once. Having the Hold button is great. The picture quality is Amazing. Overall we can't complain about this Sony DVD Player!!! |
